Food and art

Food is our bare survival, but we, humans, often make an art out of it. A tasteful art!

Perhaps the most of ‘all things artistic’, food stimulates diverse senses – smell, taste, tactile and visual – so no wonder that our brains go wild when we smell delicate balance of spices and see beautiful desert displays…and that is even before we open our mouth.

One has to have (and nurture) a talent for food making and serving. Cooking and arranging with inspiration – to create a memorable experience, please the guests, enhance a celebration, make a statement – is not very different from showing an art piece.

Marina and Sanda made this presentation for our virtual Vernissage of the ‘Colors of the Music’ project and it can be seen there. Hung recently suggested, and I whole-heartedly agreed, that it deserves to ‘stand on its own’, as the testament of the great imagination in desert making and serving from two of our multitalented members.

..and trust us – these treats are as tasteful as they are artistic!
