Just three words, once pronounced by a beloved photography theorist, A. Lapin, have defined for me, forever, the vector which I’ve been trying to follow. He said: “Look for weak signals” – it seemed paradoxical at first, but over time this phrase sharpened my perception, allowing me, at least sometimes, to feel and to try to articulate these “weak signals” by means of photography.
