Still life, clay objects etc.
The expectations for this theme of the project ‘Orange’ were 3D objects, functional or otherwise. Bowls, figurines, jewelry…Well, you cannot prescribe creativity. We ended up with contributions of still-life paintings, and artistic deserts. And a quintessential ‘orange car’! Spontaneously, the theme transformed itself into ‘orange’ in our lives…we are searching for it now, recognizing its energizing power.
Hard to find a unified thread for this collection – except that it explores ‘orange’ in unexpected ways. Teasing, perhaps? ‘Apples and Oranges’ acrylic triptych, a mini polymer clay installation of the orangy-salmon coral reef called ‘Regeneration’. ‘Our bread’ collaboration… Orange horses!
No end of commentary on ‘orange’ moods – this one is definitely a fun side of orange in our lives.
