Observers

Mind filler story

‘Observers’ are moral authorities that channel or control our behavior, freedom of thought, and actions. They carry a carrot of belonging (to a beleif structure) and a stick of reprimand. They guide us and limit us, our freedoms.

Observers could morph into an image of a strict father, religious leader, authoritarian philosophy, or political ideology. Under the watchful eyes of these moral ‘authorities’, impregnated through education, up-bringing, and sometimes brain-washing, we adjust our behavior, thought system, and choices in life. We relinquish our freedoms to ‘please’ them, or turn to acquiescence and ignorance to avoid fear and need to rebel.

Observers are often subcontious, lodged in brain’s lymbic system – a dwarfy Alter Ego sitting on our shoulder whispering doubts and reprimands, pushing us to act in ways we are not comfortable with, playing with our fears, questioning our paths. Let’s face our observers in the…
