Gel plate monoprints
The life spinning in unexpected ways, there is much on my mind, usually adaptable and efficient, yet vulnerable. Verbalizing feelings helps, but true listeners are rare…and there is always a sense of empowerment in ‘dealing with issues’ on your own, a false comfort in shielding others from a bother.
Thus, I speak to my gel plate – reaching out for imagery that might be literal but is layered as well. Assembled together, these images weave an interesting story of art that is a continuous conversation with its creator, sometimes driven by immediacy of a situation, other times by a deep and lengthy contemplation.
