Giant flowers
Garden is difficult to photograph – many layers, colors, canopies, plant varieties – the photo is often too busy and lacking in perspective and holistic view. That is why we often focus on photographing single garden specimens – or is it because they are irresistible? Individuals… Standing out, beautiful in display of their own personalities.
This is the experiment that Maria, Andre, and I endeavored into independently at the same time, coincidences always uncanny. Theirs was a sophisticated method, in a dark room with special illumination; mine was cheating – replacing noisy garden backgrounds with pitch black, a little help from the PhotoRoom. Other contributions poured in after that.
Specimens brought into focus, unique, enticing, stunning in enlarged formats emphasizing their personalities.
Unlike Georgia’s enlarged flowers, these are just flowers… Individual specimens in their own glory.
