Under a meter of snow, each day is a challenge – driving to work while ice pellets drop from the skies, whiteouts create dangerous illusions, when dressing up to brave outdoors takes at least half an hour. What a weird time to celebrate love…Unless…
Unless you have a hot, red, bursting heart and caring mind, imagination wild with anticipation… I wish I could go back to that torment of young age, despite sleepless nights and pounding nerves. I ‘feel alive’ differently now, rejoicing peaceful overtures and commitments to care and exist, together…subtleties, rare moments. A fabric of love taking different, fleeting forms and gestures.
Yet, I cannot not spark up in outburst of rejuvenation (even in the middle of February) at the site of valentines, exuberant or timid, mindful or artistic. A fabric of love, passionate, hopeful, ready to explode, secretive.
Well, all this heart outpour is truly triggered by a creative force of Sanda – emotional, explosive, domestic and worldly at the same time. Her painted silk fabric scarfs and valentine jewelry come together to illustrate this, both turbulent and intricate, fabric of love. Red-pounding heartbeats and a gentle touch…together.
